FAQ: What you need to know about The Weird Show Gallery

About The Weird Show

Q: What is The Weird Show?

A: The Weird Show (TWS) is an international art platform dedicated to exploring and redefining contemporary collage. Founded in 2010, TWS connects artists, curators, and audiences through exhibitions, publications, interviews, and workshops. With 15 years of activity and the most comprehensive online archive on collage, TWS investigates how this practice extends beyond paper and glue — as a way of thinking, remixing, and resignifying culture. You can visit our website at https://theweirdshow.info/

Q: What is The Weird Show Gallery?

A: The Weird Show Gallery is TWS’s curated online exhibition space for discovering, collecting, and supporting contemporary collage and mixed-media artists. It presents limited-edition prints, original works, and curated projects produced in collaboration with selected artists. Each piece is made to order and fulfilled through trusted production partners such as The Print Space (for fine art prints) and Gelato (for apparel, totes, and publications), ensuring museum-quality standards and ethical production. You can visit the gallery at https://gallery.theweirdshow.info/

Q: Why is a collage gallery digital-based if collage is all about touching paper?

A: At TWS, we’re interested in collage not just as paper, scissors, and glue—but as a way of thinking. For us, collage is about how artists reorganize and reimagine reality, across materials and media. That’s why The Weird Show Gallery exists online: to expand what collage can be, connecting traditional techniques with digital, painting, and other hybrid practices. Paper is part of it—but never the whole story.

Q: Why does the gallery sell prints?

A: Because collecting should be for everyone. We want people to be able to start their own relationship with contemporary collage in a way that works for them. That’s why alongside original works, we offer limited-edition prints in different sizes and editions—making it possible for more people to collect, support artists, and be part of this growing community. Collecting is not about price; it’s about connection.

Q: What is Phantom Tigers & Parallel Papers?

A: Phantom Tigers & Parallel Papers is the inaugural online exhibition of The Weird Show Gallery. Running from November 2025 to February 2026, the show brings together seven international artists — Susana Blasco, Andrea Burgay, Jack Felice, Alma Haser, Paul Henderson, Miko Hornborg, and Mark Wagner — who expand the language of collage across analog and digital forms. The exhibition explores the shifting borders between reality and fiction, destruction and creation, revealing how fragmented images can build new worlds that are both poetic and critical.

Q: How long does the exhibit go for?

A: Phantom Tigers & Parallel Papers runs from November 2025 through February 2026 and will remain live online during that period. Limited-edition prints and selected originals will be available until the end of the exhibition or until sold out. Future exhibitions and related events will be announced through our newsletter and social media.

Q: Why a gift shop?

A: We are an independent art project that has been supporting contemporary collage since 2010. Our gift shop is half vanity (we’d love to see you wearing one of our shirts) and half a way for you to help us keep this project alive. Check out the merch we created for this show — it’s a small but great way to support future exhibitions like this one.

Q: If artworks change every exhibition, what happens with the products at the Gift Shop?

A: Just like the artworks, the products in our Gift Shop are tied to each exhibition and available only while the show is live. Once an exhibition ends, its related items will no longer be available—making each collection unique and time-limited. We’re planning many new exhibitions ahead, so we like to keep things fresh and leave room for what’s coming next.

Q: Can I pitch my art for upcoming exhibitions?

A: We’re always interested in discovering new voices in contemporary collage. If your work aligns with TWS Gallery’s curatorial approach, you’re welcome to reach out. Please send a brief introduction and a link to your website, portfolio, or Instagram (no attachments) to submissions@theweirdshow.info.
